With two boys – 2 & 5, Easter baskets are a big deal around here! As are extensive easter egg hunts with chocolate coins. I am getting away from toys with lots of parts and frankly useless sh*t. This Easter basket, I’m focusing on activities, learning, experiences and brain games (some of which are add ons to what we already have!).
For Easter, my five year old will be getting art activities, books and mind games all on top of recyclable crinkle paper, in a random basket I find lying around the house.
I recommend these for 5+.
- Sticker Book
- Consent Books: I’ve read great reviews from other parents about these books. They are kid friends with engaging stories and illustrations teaching about consent.
- Where Hands Go: An Introduction to Safe Touch
- Where Hands Go: The Power of No
- The ABS’s of Consent
- Bath Maze for endless play, we have one set but could always use a second.
- Wooden magnetic game. We have to be careful with pieces around here, things get easily lost!
- Board Game. We love this one because its a team game versus me against you. It has helped with loosing.
- Clickable Markers– we are also always losing caps
- Candy, it’s an easter staple. We can’t get away from it and this is the perfect filler.

I recommend these for the younger kids.
- Finger Painting Book
- Our favorite Easter Book – and favorite series in general, Little Blue Truck.
- Ferry Boat – we love the Green Toys brand. Honestly, one of the only toys we have that doesn’t mold!
- Wooden Switch Board – endless fun with all the combinationsT
- Twistable Crayons
- Candy, it’s an easter staple. We can’t get away from it and this is the perfect filler.
